Residents celebrate the holiday with expressions of kindness for their peers and staff at the “Strawberries & Champagne Valentine’s Day Social.” Of course, the celebration wouldn’t be complete without a champagne toast and some other sweet treats.

Residents of Allerton House in Weymouth enjoyed painting narwhal figurines for display. The narwhal, a pale colored member of the whale family, is found in the waters of the Arctic. The class was led by Activity Assistant Erin Lockary. The seasonal ceramics class meets twice a month in the winter and the spring.

Allerton House in Weymouth recently hosted a special Thanksgiving event to thank professionals for referring their clients and loved ones to the senior living community. Guests of the early Thanksgiving celebration enjoyed seasonal appetizers, a scavenger hunt, and tours of the independent living, assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.

Casale, Sr. thanked those in attendance for “working as a team for the greater good.” He noted that Welch Senior Living staff display “unselfish service above and beyond the call of duty,” as they create a “culture of caring for our residents.”

The Kindness Rocks Project captures the free, kindhearted spirit of residents at Allerton House in Weymouth. Now a worldwide phenomenon, Kindness Rocks started as a way for a Cape Cod woman to lift the spirits of others by leaving behind inspirational messages painted on rocks and stones she found along the beach. The butterflies, and the ladybug, painted by Allerton House residents, will be distributed to their friends and family members.
