Capturing the Moment!

Welch Senior Living’s Allerton House Assisted Living Communities strive to “Capture the Moment!” That is the theme of this year’s National Assisted Living Week celebrations. Addressing the Welch luncheon crowd at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Welch Senior Living Executive Director Paul Casale, Jr. said the communities work to “inspire our residents to seize the day.” He thanked the residents for entrusting us with “your care.” Casale, Jr. acknowledged the work of the staff to create a beautiful experience for the day and a week of celebrations filled with exciting activities. Daisy Delivers Smiles

Golden retriever and registered therapy dog Daisy and her trainer Brian Kling bring smiles to residents of Allerton House in Weymouth. Research shows that pet therapy offers comfort and enjoyment to older individuals in communities such as assisted living. The benefits of animal-assisted therapy go beyond the feelings of well-being generated by visits. 100 Years Young!

Congratulations to Allerton House in Weymouth’s latest centenarian, resident Margaret “Peg” Bonner! The community recently celebrated the milestone with a party for the resident who takes advantage of all the assisted living community offers, including Ballroom Dancing, crafts, painting classes, and flower arranging. Peg also participates in daily Rosary.
