Congratulations to Allerton House in Weymouth’s latest centenarian, resident Margaret “Peg” Bonner! The community recently celebrated the milestone with a party for the resident who takes advantage of all the assisted living community offers, including Ballroom Dancing, crafts, painting classes, and flower arranging. Peg also participates in daily Rosary.
Originally from Sandwich, MA, Peg has lived at Allerton House for six years. She is a graduate of Regis College and has a Bachelor of Science degree in political science. When her children were young, Peg was a stay-at-home mom. Later she worked for New England Telephone Company. Until age 92 she served as a docent at the Heritage Plantation in Sandwich, MA.
Peg was married for 45 years to John Bonner, and the couple raised two girls and a boy. Their life together was filled with travel throughout Europe. Peg has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
